Who are Climate Action Leicester and Leicestershire ?
We’re a group of people living in Leicester and Leicestershire who are terrified and inspired by the climate crisis and climate justice and are working together to address these issues.
Vision: A greener, safer, healthier Leicester and Leicestershire and world, where in tackling climate change we have also strengthened our capacity to survive in community, addressed issues of global and local poverty, exploitation and responsibility and are happier.
Aims: we believe there is strength, joy and power in working together, so our mission is to draw together everyone and every group in Leicester and Leicestershire who cares about the world and each other and wishes to tackle the climate crisis to make real change.
Purpose: to support and challenge our local authorities, our communities and ourselves in taking steps to tackle the climate crisis and realise our vision.
